Crane Options for Vacuum Lifting Systems

Palamatic vacuum lift tubes are first and foremost ergonomic lifting devices designed to make material handling and lifting tasks safer and easier for your most valuable asset:  your skilled workers.

Palamatic vacuum lift tubes work best on light weight enclosed track and articulating jib cranes.  I-beam or patent track cranes are not recommended.  Here are some of the options available for suspension of your lift tube system.

Please contact us to configure the best crane for your work area.

Jib Cranes

Articulating Jib Cranes

Enclosed Track Bridge & Monorail Cranes

PalTrac Hygienic Cranes

Jib cranes are usually the least cost option for work station handling.  They are not as easy for the worker to use, especially if rotating movement is required near the main post.

Inverted jib cranes are designed to save precious  headroom in restricted overhead work areas.  Note that the vacuum lifter is suspended from the top rails of the jib in this pharmaceutical work area.

Jib cranes can be wall mounted, mounted from overhead or from the floor.

The are available in painted mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum.

Articulating jib cranes are easier to use but cost more than comparable conventional jibs.  Note the elbow effect that allows the jib to fold back on itself.  Articulating jibs are available in a variety of mounting methods.

Articulating jibs can work around vertical obstructions in the work area as shown in the plan view sketch.

Articulating jibs can be wall mounted, as shown here,

from overhead, or from the floor.

Freestanding or overhead mounted bridge cranes and monorails, like the Gorbel crane shown above, are the best way to cover large X-Y work areas.

Bridge cranes can be suspended from the overhead structure, or,

they can be freestanding from the floor.

Aluminum bridges are recommended for lifter applications.  They reduce the mass of the bridge by approximately 60% and make starting and stopping easier for the operator.

Palamatic Handling is a master dealer for Gorbel and can provide competitive pricing and applications assistance for your work area.

Palamatic PalTrac hygienic cranes are designed for food processing, fine chemical and pharmaceutical work areas where the highest standards of cleanliness are required.  The all stainless steel cranes are designed with wash down in mind.

PalTrac cranes meet FDA requirements and are available in finishes to cGMP.  The trolleys run on external surfaces and are made of an FDA approved acetyl copolymer plastic.

Note that this bridge crane sketch shows the external trolleys.  The two diamonds at the top of the sketch are an end view of the runway rails.  There are no flat surfaces to collect dust or other airborne particles.  The rails drain naturally after wash down.

PalTrac cranes are available as jibs, floor supported or overhead supported bridge cranes or monorails as well as portable gantries.
